Thirteen Things about My Dog Cosmo.Here he is, on my bed watching T.V.  with his ball.     I think he is irritated with me for disturbing him!!!    1.  He loves me unconditionally 2.  His favorite movie is Uptown Girls with Brittany Murphy in it.  I think his real favorite actor is the Pig - Moo! 3.  He loves to watch TV. 4.  He hates the “Empire Today” commercials.  The ones where they sing that awful song “call 1-800 empire…”.  He hates this commercial so bad, that he literally attacks the T.V.  Who said Dogs couldn’t work in Marketing? 5.  He howls every time I say my nieces name. 6.  His favorite toy is his Blue Ball. 7.  His favorite pastime is to look out the window and watch the birds and the squirrels. 8.  He may only be a little dog, but his protective bark makes him sound like a German Shepard. 9.  He is a Lhasa Apso.    About the Breed:  Taken from http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/lhasaapso.htm  The land of Tibet was the home of the Lhasa Apso - the breed taking its name from the sacred city of Lhasa. For at least two thousand years the breed was only bred in Tibet by holy men and nobles. It was used as a watchdog in temples and monasteries, and was considered sacred, for when its master died, his soul was thought to enter the Lhasa Apso’s body. Although they were thought to bring good luck to their owners, Lhasa Apsos were virtually impossible to buy. Happily these very precious dogs, and the equally prized Tibetan Terrier, spread to other parts of the world, mainly because the Dalai Lama. Tibet’s ruler would present them to visiting foreign diplomats. The breed was first seen in Britain in the 1920’s and was introduced to the US in the 1930’s. 10.  He has a rather large arsenal of tricks:  He can give hugs, catch and toss a ball, sit, shake, give 5, on the side, in the hole, and he has soul!  Just to name a few. 11.  When I am at Jehara’s flat, if he sits on her beautiful ivory rug from West Elm he totally blends in, and I often trip over him. 12.  He is my little protector! 13.  I love him with all my heart!

Friday Fill-In #65

1. Some relationships are meant to teach valuable lessons.
2. Chris Cagle is the last concert I saw; it was really bad, a complete waste of time.  The only reason I went was because my friend was dating Chris Cagle’s tour manager.  It was one of the longest nights of my life.
3. Spring should be a time of rebirth and renewal.
4. Oh no! I forgot to get my license plate renewed and it expires this month!
5. I’ve recently started to try to make a living with my art.
6. Cosmo never fails to make me smile.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to finalizing things for the art show, tomorrow my plans include exhibiting at an art festival and Sunday, I want to Start working on my pieces for the Earth Day Festival in April!  The web address is:

What A Day

Well, I went to see my Endocrinologist today, and she was not happy with me for the way I was doing my fast.  I had decided to try the “Master Cleanse”.  My blood sugar was way too low.  I explained to her that I was doing it for spiritual reasons, so she suggested some alternatives.  So I am continuing my fast, I am just going to modify it.  I talked to one of my spiritual mentors, Sabrina, and she suggested I do a no-kill fast.  What this means is that I will not be consuming any plant or animal that needs to be killed in order to eat it.  Since I am a Vegetarian, I will need to make only some minor adjustments to my diet.  In addition to my blood sugar issues, my Endo heard something strange with my heart, so now, tomorrow, I am going to a Cardiologist for some testing.  Sometimes, I think this health stuff just goes on and on and on and on.  Then, to make my day even more cheerful, my health insurance company called me to tell me that my medications that I am taking for my pituitary tumor and my AGHD (Adult Growth Hormone Deficiency) are now going to cost me $480 dollars a month.  This is quite a considerable jump in price since I use to pay $50 dollars a month for these meds before.  I am scared now that I will not be able to afford the meds anymore.  I am now searching for places that might possibly give me some assistance with my meds.  So on the whole, this day was not the best.  Even though this day was a little of a downer, I am really looking forward to Friday with Jehara!  When I got home, I walked Cosmo for a long walk, so I could think, and be with my animal and the earth and the air in the outside.  As I was walking, I found two more pine cones in the park, these were in much better shape then the ones I had found yesterday, which I think is a good sign, because we were needing some pine-cones for Friday.   So I feel better now, after my walk, and I know things are going to be okay.  I know I seem to be rambling today, so I think I will stop now.
